- Rob Moran, who cartoons under the nom de plume SURLY, is a UK based cartoonist, illustrator/comic book artist/writer. His cartoons and comics have appeared in - Bunty Library, Starblazer, 2000 AD, Battle, Shiver and Shake, The Weekly News, The Sun, The Daily Mirror, The T&G Record, Culture City magazine, Comic Relief annual, The Beano, Dandy Fun Size, The Beezer, It's Wicked, Deadline magazine, Trident Comics, Squib, Cartoon Monthly, Fiesta, Men Only, Knave and many more magazines and newspapers in the UK and Europe. As a cartoonist/illustrator his clients have included, Motorola, Scottish Opera, Scottish Youth Theatre, Forbidden Planet Int., BBC Scotland, SAS Business supplies, among others. He has written and drawn comic books for Marvel, Image/Platinum Studios, Dark Horse and D. C. comics in the U.S.A.; he also wrote a nationally syndicated American newspaper comic strip.
